Our Crest

This is the Do Nothing But Read Day crest. It was designed by Brandon Werner, who has our utmost gratitude.

The book is inscribed with “Legere est amare,” which, in Latin, means, “To read is to love.” This, above all things, is the spirit in which we celebrate Do Nothing But Read Day.

  • About DNBRD

In December of 2009, Amanda Lanyon-LeSage said something on Facebook that could possibly change the world. She merely wished that she could take a day off and do nothing but read. Her idea was seconded–and thirded and fourthed–and then it happened for real.

The first Do Nothing But Read Day was held on Sunday, December 20, 2009.

In 2010, there will be two editions of Do Nothing But Read Day:

    June 27 and December 19.

Sign up for DNBRD on June 27, 2010
